"True Beauty Comes From Within" (but a little makeup doesn't hurt)
In 2001, at a cosmetic counter in a well-known department store, I accidentally began a career in makeup artistry. Earlier that year I had graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Communications Degree; however, I was not happy in the corporate world. With a background in ballet, violin and acting, I found that makeup served as a visual art form; in addition I was able to help and serve others. Perfect.
In 2002, I apprenticed under Corinne Williams (owner of Façade in Houston, TX) and found myself working with brides; which I love. Throughout the years, my career has led me across Texas and Arizona working with celebrities, news stations, fashion designers, magazines and production companies. Through press junkets; I’ve had the honor to work with Billy Crystal, Elizabeth Reaser, Kal Penn, Eric Byrnes and Brian Presley to name a few. For six months I appeared on AZTV’s Monday Morning Makeover show performing live makeovers on everyday viewers.
In Austin, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Stitch Fashion Show, Celestino Couture Fashion Show, Tribeza Fashion Shows, SoLa Fashion Shows, Austin Women’s Magazine, Production Crew, Rare Magazine, Austin Monthly Magazine and top photographers. A couple of clients include: Texas Governor Rick Perry and Texas Representative Donna Howard.
